We’re excited to officially announce our new communication platform and welcome you to ParentSquare!

Beginning this school year, Salina Public Schools will use ParentSquare as our primary communication platform for families, students and staff across all of our schools.

ParentSquare brings classroom, school and district communication together in one place. From everyday updates to urgent alerts, information can be received through email, text or app notifications—all based on your notification preferences.

By partnering with ParentSquare, we are enhancing the way our district communicates, making it easier for staff to connect with families and for families to stay informed and engaged. ParentSquare will also help us comply with House Bill 2299, the new Kansas law that establishes requirements for electronic communication between school staff and students.

ParentSquare will replace other communication tools that have previously been used throughout our district, schools and classrooms. Staff may continue to communicate through their official @usd305.com email addresses, which remain an acceptable form of communication under state law.

With ParentSquare families will be able to:

• Receive messages from your student’s school and the district. 
• Choose how you receive messages through emails, text or app notifications.
• Choose when you receive messages – either immediately as they are shared or in a “digest” all at once, bundled format. Don’t worry – urgent messages will always be sent in real time.
• Communicate in your preferred language with automatic translation.
• Send direct messages to your student’s teachers and staff. 
• And much more!

Best of all, families can easily access everything from your phone or computer!

What families need to do:
By default, an account is automatically created for each parent or guardian using the pre-existing contact information listed in Skyward. Please begin looking for an email being sent with an invitation to join ParentSquare. 

We highly encourage you to activate your account and download the free mobile app from  the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. You can also access the ParentSquare website at www.parentsquare.com.

This information will help you prepare to receive messages through ParenSquare for the 2026-27 school year. More information will be shared by the district and your student’s school in the coming weeks.
