Students and their families gathered at Heusner before fall break to participate in many activities. First, families were invited to enjoy a special Thanksgiving feast with their students for lunch throughout the day. In the afternoon, families were invited back to school to enjoy our version of a Thanksgiving Day Parade. Participating classes read the book "Balloons Over Broadway" which taught them about how the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade began. Students then created their own "floats" and paraded them around the school to end the day.
